Double update for road trip and Halloween cause I’ve been slacking on posts

Hard to believe it’s been almost a week already since the road trip ended.  The car delivery was a success and took three days not including the flight there.  Saw almost a zoo’s worth of roadkill, a bunch of towns I want to explore someday, and the occasional roadside dinosaur.  Pretty sure we heard the voice of Duke Nukem(Jon St. John) briefly on the radio going from OK to TX. Weather was good for most of the trip and there wasn’t much stopping other than piss/food/gas and to sleep for the night.  The only picture that wasn’t a blur was at the only place we did stop, the Dazend Movie Museum in NM.  Unfortunately it happened to be closed, so a possible revisit could be in the future.

After the trip I got to do some visiting, then it was time for Halloween.  Things spotted were darth vader getting jiggy with it, waldo copping a feel, a cereal killer startled by a zombie, midget baron samedi, twerking zombies, a toilet mummified with tp, and a bonfire.  Then after that there was a day of the dead festival with more costumes, music, food, and one of the booths had bootlegos.  Also found out I might be travelling again sooner than I thought, but still have to work out the details.

It’s been a one-thing-after-another kind of week.  Interruptions galore, storage unit tetris, bank account got hacked, and damn near every menial task seems to be conspiring against me, but the majority of it is finally over.  I’ve also been scrambling to figure out logistics for a flight and then road trip, possibly taking the bus part of the way.  It’ll be a fun trip for sure, I just wish there was more time to take my time on the drive.  It’s nice to be able to explore a bit and move along without rushing everywhere.

Here’s a skeleton butler in disbelief that Christmas decorations have been on shelves for most of October.
